A few days back, I was talking to my little sister about the qualities of the etheric element (Akash) within the human system and the universe, and how it can be used to acquire knowledge which isn’t necessarily written on any paper of the world.
Every space in the world, be it a natural spot, a temple, or a haunted location holds memory, and naturally, the complexity of that space (objects and artifacts in it) determine the level of intelligence it can exhibit. Yes! Even spaces can exhibit intelligent behavior. Why do you think people visit the temples and other holy places? It’s so they can allow something more intelligent to function through them and affect their lives.
Similarly, while not as powerful and great in magnitude as a consecrated space, each space holds a memory, and these memory spots are connected like a web throughout different hubs (like temples belonging to the same deity and consecration ritual). Partly, this is what I believe has played a significant role in keeping a country like India united, regardless of our differences in cultures and beliefs. India is the largest democracy in the world!
Spaces alike, minds alike
Now, that’s about spaces, but do you know, we humans are more connected to each other than we realize. There’s one collective consciousness which can give you access to the consciousness of each and every person in the world. Doesn’t matter whether they’ve committed a felony, they’re a sage, or a ninja turtle, if they exist, they can be perceived.
The only blockade that stops an individual from transmitting and receiving these signals (like a radio broadcast) is a loud mind. The ripples in the pond would not let you see through the pond. People are busy dealing with the ripples that their body and mind create. Once these two quieten up, a whole universe of possibilities open up for you.
Just stop speaking for a moment in your head… stfu and listen for one good second (maybe longer). You’ll realize that so much more is happening that you were just missing until now! From the subtlest to the loudest thoughts, many of them weren’t even yours.
It’s pretty easy to communicate without speaking a word. The conversation of the subtle reveals the person’s genuine side. People are either ugly (deluded) or beautiful (self-aware).
So do you stalk people, Mr Spiritualist?
Or so my little sister said!
First and foremost, before coming to any conclusions, you must understand what it takes to get here and what it means to be here.
The Journey
Swadhisthana
The journey begins at the base of the spine, while we often skip the muladhara chakra for a reason, the yoga practitioner adopts a discipline to master the Swadhisthana-chakra. This chakra is essentially the progenitor of all desires. Desire is the fundamental force that compels us to move every day, and mastery upon this force enables you to conserve it (through pratyahar) and direct it at will to energize an artifact, desire, or give birth to a subtle structure like an astral energy being (dakini) or intelligent mechanism (yantra).
Manipuraka
Mastery upon this chakra gives one incredible vitality and power. But moving this chakra is extremely risky, as it can completely disorient the energy structure of the human body, bringing weird ailments and even reducing the lifespan of the individual. But moving it also gives one superhuman/unexplainable strength for a while.
Anahata
Then the heart chakra (or anahata), very easily moves and is fairly easy to master with guidance, but without guidance this could break a person completely. As this is the point where the person enters the domain of the subtle world. It’s filled with ghosts and other entities that can be invoked or attracted. For many, this particular chakra sadhana (yogic) is simply skipped and managed via a tantric process instead.
Vishuddhi
The Vishuddhi (throat) chakra, which also means ‘poison filter’ is one of the most mysterious chakras and less explored in the world, even by yogis. This is where the person transcends the societal structure and breaks the evolutionary process completely. This means that the person is — indeed a human — but is not bound by human mind’s characteristics. It makes one a completely different life than what you see in nature because it’s not natural (apara prakriti), it’s divine or unnatural (para prakriti). This is also where the distinction or duality of genders fall apart. A woman and man are seen the same way. A perfect example of someone who has mastered Vishuddhi are the aghoris and avadhūtas (Dattatreya, Rishabha, Ashtavakra).
Someone with the mastery over this chakra can do incredible things in the world, but not quite fit well in society under common circumstances. While that is also decided by the individual, the very presence of a person who is actively functioning through this chakra will also terrify you for no reason.
Agya
The most popular chakra is the Agya chakra, also known as the third eye. This allows the user to foresee things and perceive anything without presence. A person with a fully active Agya can look into the future and the past. Of course, the future is not tangible, and so the person sees the energy structure of the present and also sees highly specific actions that they may/will take
, with each action branching into a unique foreseen future.
It’s difficult to elaborate on the experiential part of what happens. It requires diving into the objective science of it, which doesn’t explain anything, really! So, let’s skip this part.
The sahasrara chakra is skipped as well, as it is beyond the control of human psyche, and doesn’t require mastery. It’s just present and ready.
Throughout the procession
Without the development of vairagya (dispassion) and vivek (wisdom), the person would simply lose their mind trying to train and balance their chakras.
Without the right guidance, the journey is brutal. A solo venture into this realm would 100% break your mind unless you have managed to create extremely disciplined situations around yourself.
The collective consciousness is a rat hole. Anything that the human mind can conceive, whether the divine or the devil, everything is present there. And if you barge into this uncharted terrain and you’re not ready for it (a.k.a., people who follow their natural tendencies and are careless), you’ll simply push yourself into an extremely debilitating state. It’s the fastest way to lose your mind.
Answering the main question
No. Perceiving the ugly of the world makes us ugly. Nobody would want their clean and white canvas to be smeared with shit. We only see the outside world to clean ourselves, not to judge someone or form opinions around a certain faction or mentality.
The world is an impression of this one
. And this one
is an impression of the world. You and I are no two separate entities. We only work with what we can control.
We all think we’re unique and special. We are unique indeed, but being special is a subjective thing. While we’ve all come from the same soil and will dissolve in it someday, every single lump of soil is a different person, and they deserve acknowledgement for who they are (regardless of their position, relation, color, gender, caste, education, financial status, competence, or tendencies).
Complete acknowledgement and Dharma guides us toward doing the right things in the world. Everything else is unneeded and wasteful!
